December has been and gone - with our usual round of birthdays! Katy on 8th December (21)/Isabel on 14th December (15)/Dale on 16th December (44) and Wayne on 26th (67). As well, there are a few friends who also are December babies. We are also through January and almost through February - this year is just going to fly by.
Then there were the Christmas cards that were meant to be made, plus other fiddly bits such as calendars and notebooks. There never seems to be enough hours in the day, or days in the week. A few things got done .. but time just got away.
I 'wasted' some time at work, trying out making a paper swirl star ornament - I say 'wasted' only because I should have been doing work related stuff - but I reckon I could find a way of justifying it if I had to. Fortunately, I have an awesome boss, who lets me get away with things like that every so often. It didn't turn out too badly either and a lot easier than I thought.
Guides finished for the year - well, the weekly meetings anyway. But we still had a week of Christmas Gift Wrapping once school has finished as a fundraiser. And we were absolutely flat out wrapping - people were asking Leading Edge about us doing it BEFORE school even finished. We made almost $1,000! But we worked for it, that's for sure. The community supports Guides extremely well here.
Wayne went across to WA to spend time with Candy & Issy and had a ball. The dog and I spent lots of time walking at the Telegraph Station - and discussing all his fur everywhere! Not that I think he particularly cared about fur everywhere....
Plans were to do LOTS of craft - but again, it didn't really happen. I did get lots of cleaning and decluttering done so I guess it evened out. It wasn't nearly as much fun though.
