Christmas and Holidays.

Well, the Christmas rush is over finally.  I had a busy few days from when school broke up till Christmas Eve, as the Guides took on the job of gift wrapping at the Pharmacy again.  Good news is that we made about $1,200 to go towards the state camp in QLD later this year so it was worth the time spent.

It was a quieter Christmas than usual, which was nice - not so much work beforehand - and I spent some time catching up on a few cleaning projects that needed doing.  Boring but necessary.

Norma, Violet and I had the opportunity to spend time working on Christmas cards - at least till the Library got flooded in a huge storm and the cleaners ended up sucking about 3,000 litres of water out of the carpet.  And I was quite happy with some of my cards, which is a change. Enough to do a production line on one of them and make it the mail-out Christmas card for 2014.

I also spent some time with my granddaughters, making cards and desk calendars.  The things you do to keep them entertained...
They spent 5 hours making loads of little stand-up desk calendars, along with a few 'flip or swing' cards - and they did a great job.  They were very proud of their efforts, as well they should be. We also spent time playing with shrink plastic and making all types of chocolates, so lots of craft time happening, which was really nice.

I have some photos but am having trouble posting them, so there may be an update on this post at some point.  Right now, I just want to get a post up!
I  will make the usual promise of keeping this blog more up to date - and hope that my carrying out is as good as my intentions this time.
